It was back to work early this morning... And, after the weekend (26/27 jan), work really wasn't a good idea today...haha. Was pretty sick, so my productivity level for the first 3 hours was absolutely...sad. (taking into consideration my annoying desire for perfection and in thi case, efficiency) Fortunately, I live near my workplace, so I went home during lunchtime and slept for about 15 minutes...which, by God's mercy, helped a little.
Anyway, the past weekend was pretty hectic, but also a very good learning experience. It mainly comprised of worship pracs, church services and preparing for The AmazinGrace, an event for the SSS "kids". From planning the activities that were used by the Sinister Seniors and designing/doing a maze for the chapel to leading worship for SSS and doing PA for the main service, my 48 hours were very well utilised (yay!) and exciting actually.
There are some people whom I really appreciate, and have made my weekend more meaningful...
1. Ian, Joyce, Ivan, Daryl, Helen, Tim Han...for staying back with me on sat after the YA meeting and keeping me company for a while...while I was trying to do the maze.
2. Helen and Tim...for also going out to buy more yellow tape and for staying with me till 11.15 that night to finish the maze (almost, at least:P)
3. Joel...for trying to insist on sending me to church on sunday morning so I could sleep longer. Unfortunately, I'm stubborn...
4. Sylvianne...for allowing me to give you tuition... I really miss studying! And I had fun helping you with integration and Maclaurin's Series this week:)
5. Sarah...for coming early in the morning and being so hyper... kept me awake even though I had only slept for 4 hours...haha
6. Nicky...for coming earlier to troubleshoot your guitar and pedal problems since there were so many breakdowns the day before. The sound didn't die during the actual thing! :)
7. Joshua Kwek...for being very concerned about all of us "little ones", and for also being patient when I refused to tell you about my "secret mission" next week (though I told you a little in the end, since I can't make it for cell group, and yes....for accountability's sake)
8. Shu Fen... for being really nice and smsing us on sat night about how we found the YA meeting since you couldn't make it...Sorry I was really tired and forgot to reply...
9. Stephanie and Ian...for helping with the signages for each level, and for blowing balloons on sat. Steph, even though you took really long to figure out that there was a slit for you to put the paper through...your Eureka! moment will linger in my memories for quite a while:) Ian, thanks for cutting the scotch tape!
10. Aunty Evelyn, for bearing with all my requests (chapel bookings, photocopying, borrowing of so much stationery...lol) and for being so nice:)
11. Deborah and David...for going back home to get the lighter (your house isn't that far...but I really appreciated your willingness to help:P)
12. Paul...for blowing the Senior 3 balloon, which had shrunk from the night before... and for to creating the beautiful partial burnt design for te scavenger hunt paper, even though the lighter died halfway...
13. Jason...for heading the committee for The AmazinGrace! Thank you for teaching us about the real world and how it operates. Thank you for teaching us "delegation" and "responsibility". Haha... I'm glad the bottom line for our debrief was "everyone has potential"...lol... That was so funny:)
16. Joyce...for inviting us to your house for a farewell dinner:) Oh we watched the finals of the tennis Australian Open between Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Seemed like everyone in the room was supporting Djokovic, so it was a sweet ending for all of us. Heard that Mark Seow was supporting Tsonga and had bet with Nicky and Cai that he would win. Guess he's now $2 broker...haha
15. Abooz! (That's the group I was the personnel of) The race wasn't easy for the group, with the widely dffering opinions and personalities of the group members. But I'm so proud that we managed to come in 2nd anyway! We arrived back at church 2nd, won the water game and the cheering competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved our cheer:)
(lights on)
(Nathanael looks very serious and starts using his hands to mime out drawing a window. Jerome makes creaking sound effects. Nathanael opens the window and peers out. Starts lip sync-ing, with Cherlyn singing behind him)

(Nathanael does the blow-kiss action)
"Aaaaaaaaaa.......Aaaaaaaaaaa"
Everyone: "Aaaaaaaabooz!"
Nat: "Ready, let's go! 5-6-7-8! Abooz, Abooz, what are we?"
(Everyone does fanning action)
Everyone: H-O-T! H-O-T!
Nat: Abooz, Abooz, who are we?
Everyone: H-O-T! H-O-T! ....
